From Reception to Year 2, our Pre-Prep is where your child will embark upon their formal educational journey in a warm, secure and creative environment, making use of our fantastic facilities both inside and outside.

We recognise that children take to education at their own pace and our small setting ensures your child can be both supported and stretched as they learn. Our team will lead your child through their early introduction to phonics, maths, reading, scientific exploration, creative development and scientific exploration in a way which will stimulate them to learn and keep learning.

We have fully embraced the highly successful Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS), recognising that this formative stage of your child’s life when your child is rapidly developing is crucial. We build solid academic foundations to last a lifetime. Our staff are incredibly committed, dedicating time and care to ensure that your son or daughter feels safe, confident and happy at school from their very first day.
A school that feels like family
With surrogate siblings both younger and older to play with at break time, MSJ really is like a big happy family.
With wraparound care available from 8am to 6pm, Pre-Prep families drop off and collect their children directly at the school door. This personal contact ensures daily communication with the staff who know and care for your child, supporting feedback, collaboration and a happy, fulfilling start to school life.
Experiences beyond the classroom
Co-curricular activity is a key part of our offer and After School Clubs offer your child a range of different activities and the opportunity to try a new skill – such as horse riding or recorder and a chance to do more of activities they already love, like swimming or dance.
