Outdoor Team Building Trips

MSJ organised some exciting outdoor team-building trips for different year groups during the first week of term in September. These experiences were incredibly valuable for the pupils, helping them develop important life skills and build strong bonds with their peers. Here’s what each of the year groups got up to.

Year 11 tested themselves at Manor Adventure

Manor Adventure is an outdoor pursuits centre based in rural Shropshire. Pupils engaged in activities like rock climbing, kayaking, and orienteering. These activities challenged the pupils both physically and mentally, promoting teamwork and problem-solving.

Year 10 took on the challenge at Aztec Adventure

Aztec Adventure situated in the village of Upton Warren near Bromsgrove offered a unique set of outdoor water-based activities and challenges tailored for our year 10 pupils. These experiences were designed to help pupils develop leadership skills and build confidence.

Year 9 ventured to Gilwern, Wales

Gilwern, in the picturesque Welsh countryside, offered a beautiful backdrop for their outdoor adventures. Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to participate in activities like hiking, camping, and water sports, creating a sense of camaraderie among them.

Year 7 experienced the Frank Chapman Centre

The Frank Chapman Centre is set in 90 acres of beautiful ancient oak forest and provided Year 7 pupils with a taste of outdoor education and teamwork. Activities focused on building communication skills and self-confidence in a fun and safe environment.

Prep confronted  the Boundless Outdoors Centre

MSJ Prep had a memorable experience at the Boundless Outdoors Centre in Malvern, enjoying a mix of educational and physical activities pushing them to their limits whilst having lots of fun!

MSJ Minis Trekked up the Malvern Hills

Trekking up the Malvern Hills was both a physically challenging and rewarding experience for the youngest pupils. A great way for them to experience and grow a love for nature and outdoor activities.

Overall, these outdoor team-building trips provided MSJ Pupils with a chance to learn important life skills, build lasting friendships, and create memorable experiences. Such activities can have a profound impact on their personal growth and development.
