School uniform is an important part of our identity as a School and we ask that all girls observe the Dress Code throughout the year.

Second-hand Uniform Shop
The Second-hand Uniform Shop, run by The Friends of MSJ, is located in the MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre. Visits to the Shop are by appointment only and can be made by emailing: secondhanduniform@malvernstjames.co.uk

The shop is open on specific dates during the summer holidays and immediately before the start of the Autumn Term, these dates will be communicated to current parents and published here when available.
What do you sell?

For example, the style of skirts, jumpers and blouses for MSJ Seniors (Years 7 – 11) is not changing, and where sizes are available, these can be purchased from the Second-hand Shop at approximately 50% discount from new.
The sports kit has undergone a complete restyling, and until the Second-hand Shop starts to receive donations, the new style is only be available from Schoolblazer. Please note the outgoing style of sports kit is no longer stocked in the Second-hand Shop. From September 2022 all girls are required to wear the new style of sports kit.
How do I order and collect items?

Once order are ready they can be collected from the MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre Reception.
If your daughter is a new boarder the Friends of MSJ are here to help. As parents themselves they understand what it is like for new boarders and where possible will deliver items to new boarders in their Boarding Houses. Alternatively, parents can liaise with the Boarding Housemistresses, and they will be able to help. Once your daughter knows their way around School, they will be happy to collect their orders themselves.

The Second-hand Uniform Shop is reliant upon donations of good quality, clean uniform and sports kit. Skirts, jumpers and blouses are always welcome, but due to the change in uniform, we can no longer accept donations of uniform or sports kit in the outgoing styles. Sticks and racquets are always in demand!
If you wish to donate your daughter’s outgrown/unwanted uniform or equipment, please leave at the Reception to MSJ Sports and Fitness Centre. You may donate on the basis of 100% i.e. all sales proceeds go to School funds, or on the basis of 50/50, whereby 50% of sales proceeds are returned to you. These funds are credited to your daughter’s School account at the end of the academic year in which they are sold, or sent to you by BACS/cheque in the event that your daughter has already left the school. Any items not sold after two years will be treated as a 100% donation.
Any items which are unfit for sale or are no longer official School uniform will be disposed of at the discretion of the Friends of MSJ.
All funds resulting from the sale of uniform and equipment are credited to he Friends of MSJ and are used for the benefit of the pupils in accordance with agreed guidelines.
