On Wednesday, June 10th, at the unusual time of 9:00, chosen to make sure our overseas contestants could join us, we had our annual Ships’ Public Speaking Competition.

The judge was Mr Tim Keyes, joining us remotely on TEAMS, and the four Ships did a wonderful job of delivering their ‘team’ efforts in these strange circumstances.

The topics chosen were varied: from Google and the Government, to Conditions in Prisons, and from returning artefacts to their countries of origin, to the search for the best Pizza Slice in New York. There were many people who joined us on Teams, including the Years 5 and 6 of the Prep Department, who have now had a taste of ‘how it’s done’ ready for when they join the Senior School.

The overall team winner was Dragon, well done.
