Mini but Mighty: MSJ Minis Turns One

Last week we celebrated a very important birthday; MSJ Minis turned one! We celebrated one year since opening our all-girls nursery by hosting a special event inspired by our nursery’s strapline, “Mini but Mighty” – existing and prospective parents and little ones alike were invited to a superhero-themed fancy dress celebration, including a “mini” afternoon tea, featuring superhero sandwiches and cake.

There were games, activities, and even face painting. Everyone joined in the fun and prizes were awarded for best dressed and most inventive costumes. The whole of MSJ Prep ended the afternoon by serenading the guests with some beautifully sung songs and of course, "Happy Birthday to Minis"!

Head of Prep, Mrs Bedford, said:

"We wanted to celebrate one year of MSJ Minis and having our Mini Superhero Tea Party was the perfect way to do that. The children and visitors enjoyed a variety of games and activities, dined on superhero sandwiches and cake, a number of prizes went out for the best dressed and most inventive outfits, with the event culminating in some beautiful songs sung by our Prep Department. Having children from age 3 has enriched our Prep Department and the older year groups have welcomed the MSJ Minis with open arms. We are excited that we are able to offer quality first teaching and a wealth of experiences and opportunities MSJ has to offer to these younger nursery pupils."

MSJ Minis accepts government-funded care — with all three- and four-year-olds eligible to claim at least 15 hours of Nursery Education Funding, and many families able to claim 30 hours. The nursery doors open at 08:00 Monday to Friday, and children can stay up until 18:00 with any unfunded hours charged at the hourly rate of £5.15.
