We've embraced the Christmas Spirit with open arms over the last few weeks! This term has been a whirlwind of Christmas activities, charity initiatives, and heartwarming moments that have brought our school community closer than ever.

Countdown to Christmas

Our countdown began with the annual Christmas Cracker Challenge, a burst of energy that set the tone for MSJ Giving Day. The entire school came together for festive games, competing passionately to earn points for their respective Ships – a spirited start to the season. And of course, York Hall is once again adorned with Christmas baubles and loving messages. On the same day, we held our annual Christmas light switch-on event, a momentous occasion with carol singing, mince pies and mulled wine

The Big Sing

York Hall was filled with happy faces and wonderful singing for the "Big Sing". We hosted this celebration of children’s voices for nearly 200 pupils in Years 3 and 4 from local primary schools, to not only join our school communities together for a special choral performance but also to raise vital donations and support for the Worcester and Malvern Food Banks.

Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival

This year, Worcester Cathedral welcomed us to its Christmas Tree Festival, and in true MSJ style, we stood out with a beautiful blue Christmas tree. A unique touch to celebrate the season and showcase our school's spirit. Pupils in MSJ Minis and Prep created gold star decorations which are proudly hanging on the tree. You can visit the Christmas Tree Festival up until Sunday 14 January 2024.

Carol Service and Nativity

This year's wonderful festive performances have left us filled with joy and a sense of togetherness. The Nativity, performed by MSJ Minis and Prep, was a true delight. And the annual Carol Service at Great Malvern Priory was a beautiful way to end the term, with girls, families, staff, and guests coming together to enjoy traditional carols and readings, as well as the enchanting performances by our choir and musicians.

Farewell to Mrs Raraty

Amidst the festivities, we bid a fond farewell to Headmistress Mrs Raraty as she retires at Christmas. We wish her well on her next adventure, and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.
