This January, we welcomed 20 bright young 9-16 year old girls from Dipont Education in China, for an enriching journey through British culture. From exploring iconic landmarks in London and immersing themselves in the world of William Shakespeare in Stratford, to admiring the historic buildings of Oxford University and taking serene walks on the picturesque Malvern Hills, every moment was filled with adventure and discovery. Even simple pleasures like enjoying fish and chips in the Winter Gardens became cherished memories.
Inside our classrooms, they delved into exciting lessons like Design Technology sparking creativity, and Food and Nutrition to tantalise their taste buds. Their enthusiasm was infectious, taking every opportunity to absorb as much as they could from the enriching curriculum on offer at MSJ.
In the boarding house, activities and friendships were made, language barriers were broken and much fun was had. The high rope and zip wire challenges at Go APE in the Wyre Forest encouraged everyone to break out of their comfort zones with the support of our close-knit community of girls and staff.
As they bid farewell at Gatwick Airport, our Dipont guests were full of happy memories, reminding us of the profound bonds forged during their stay.
At the end of a busy but exhilarating few weeks, we celebrated all the achievements of these young women with an MSJ Graduation Ceremony, where each pupil received a certificate presented by the Head, Dr Lloyd. Special guests attended including Mrs Fowles, Senior Deputy Head, and governors and prefects. It was the perfect way to bid farewell to this fantastic cohort
