The Lynne Lindner Music Award
The Lynne Lindner Music Award will give a Sixth Form pupil unparalleled access to specialist teaching, physical resources, extra-curricular opportunities and first-class mentoring. The bursary will fund a sixth form place at MSJ.

The Lynne Lindner Music Award recipient will make a positive contribution to the musical life of the School, and participate in concerts and musical ensembles such as orchestra and choir.
- Applicants should study GCSE Music and/or have at least Grade 6 on an instrument or voice.
- The successful applicant will be expected to study A Level Music
Applications are welcomed from external candidates with exceptional musical talent, who will raise the bar even higher in our musical hub.
Step 1
In the first instance, parents should complete and submit the Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances. Please email the form to the Finance Manager or alternatively post it to Sallyanne Kehoe, Malvern St James, 15 Avenue Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3BA..
Step 2
Eligible candidates will be informed and invited to complete the application form which includes details of instruments played (including voice), evidence of Grades achieved (ABRSM or Trinity) and upload a Personal Statement/CV of Music experience/interests/aspirations.
Step 3
Eligible candidates must submit their Award Form with supporting evidence and CV/Personal Statement as in Step 2.
Step 4
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend for an assessment (practical and written) and interview day.
- First Study (including voice): play two pieces of at least Grade 6 standard and aural tests
- Second Study (including voice): play one piece of at least Grade 5 standard
- Written paper based on general musical knowledge and analysis

Publicity and Fundraising
This Award is funded purely from fundraising and charitable donations. Recipients of awards will be expected to take part in fundraising activity for the scheme by featuring in communications materials and this can be by using images and first names.
