When to Apply

While most students join us in September at the start of the academic year, we do consider admissions throughout the year if places are available.

We accept pupils into all year groups in MSJ Prep, and the main entry points for MSJ Seniors are 11+ (Year 7) and 13+ (Year 9). We may also have availability for Year 8 and Year 10. For MSJ Sixth Form, we welcome students into Year 12.

Admissions Process

1

Visit Us (Optional but Recommended)

We encourage families to visit us, either by attending one of our Open Events or by arranging a Private Visit. These visits provide an opportunity to explore the school, meet our staff, and experience the MSJ community.

For overseas families, we can arrange an online meeting with our Admissions Team to answer any questions you may have.

2

Registration

To formally begin the admissions process, please create an account on our admissions portal and complete the relevant Registration Form

Along with the form, you will need to submit:

  • The Registration Fee (£100 for Minis, £150 for UK residents, £200 for non-UK residents, £50 for Forces Families).
  • Copies of recent school reports.
  • A photocopy of your daughter’s passport (front cover, photograph page, and ‘Right of Abode in the UK’ page, if applicable).

If you prefer a hard copy of the form, please contact our Admissions Team.

3

Taster Days (Optional but Recommended)

We invite prospective students to join us for a Taster Day (or days) to experience a typical school day, meet future classmates and teachers, and take part in school life.
For those interested in boarding, we can arrange an overnight stay in one of our Boarding Houses.

4

Assessment & Interview

All applicants complete an assessment test and an interview with a senior member of staff.

  • Assessments can take place during a Taster Stay at MSJ.
  • For overseas applicants, tests can be conducted with online invigilation.
  • Interviews can be held in person or online.

Once the assessment and interview are successfully completed, we will issue a formal Offer of a Place.

5

Offer of a Place  and Accepting a Place

To secure your daughter’s place at MSJ, we require:

  • A signed Parent Contract Acceptance Form (signed by both parents/legal guardians).
  • Completed New Starter Forms.
  • Payment of the Refundable Acceptance Deposit:
    • £150 for Pre-Prep & Prep
    • £800 for UK residents (Senior & Sixth Form)
    • One term’s fees for non-UK residents

This deposit is refunded at the end of your daughter’s final term at MSJ, less any outstanding costs. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable if the place is not taken up.
