SIXTH FORM
Sports Tour 2011 - a report by Kellina Gannon

The Sports Tour to Australia and Hong Kong was incredible! We played nine matches in total covering 3 sports - lacrosse, hockey and netball. When we arrived in Hong Kong we had three full days of fun and activities. The heat was so bad during the Hockey match but we still managed to pull together and play a good match. The shopping in ‘The Lanes' in Hong Kong was hysterical, rushing through the crowds and trying to find the nearest air-conditioning!
When we landed in Australia the change of temperature was refreshing and once we got through all the security measures at Melbourne airport we were on the road. The two weeks spent in Australia were some of the best of my life. I learned a lot and it was a great experience to play with the older girls. Luckily I managed to see all the sights I wanted to in Sydney and Melbourne. My favourite parts were the Lacrosse and Netball matches we won in Melbourne and going Oz Jet boating under the Sydney Harbour bridge and next to the Opera House. Everyone was screaming and getting sand in their mouth and hair!!!
Another highlight of the trip was the time Bella and I sang 'Jerusalem' next to the Sydney Opera House and Bella managed to hit the high notes!
Thank you to everyone who made this amazing trip possible.
