SENIOR SCHOOL

Library

Malvern St James Library The School library is a spacious central learning resource that provides staff and pupils with access to a wide range of resources. Academic inquiry, research and information retrieval is actively supported by the team of professional Librarians.

The Librarians are information specialists, skilled ICT facilitators and literature advisors who are happy to help a pupil find information, use network software or recommend her next exciting read.

The library enjoys a variety of uses including individual study, whole-class and group work. Equally, space is provided to encourage browsing, reading and general recreational use. A bank of computers, together with wireless networking for laptops, provides pupils with access to both traditional and electronic resources.

All pupils are formally inducted to the Library when they arrive. This takes place predominately at the beginning of the new school year in September, but whenever they arrive girls are always provided with a tour and formal session on how to use the Library.
