Year 7 Adventure Camp - a report by Miss Cole, Head of Outdoor Pursuits

Last weekend all of the new Year 7 set off on Friday morning to travel to West Malvern for the annual Year 7 camp. It was a beautiful day, although the forecast had not been good. However we were very pleased when the threatened rain kept off, virtually for the whole tri,p and we were able to enjoy all the activities in the dry.

Over the 2 days, the girls put up their own tents, then climbed, (hard work), traversed the High Bridges, (scary and wobbly), they solved problems (used brains and TEAMWORK), explored the wild woods (exciting) and flew down the Zip Wire (VERY exciting). The staff of the centre were extremely complimentary about the girls and how well they handled the challenges and how pleasant they were to work with.

All in all, the 2 days were very enjoyable and really achieved the target of helping the girls to get to know each other in a fun and challenging way. Friendships are made by sharing good experiences and memories and many strong friendships will have been forged this weekend. So the New Year 7 has got off to a cracking start and we look forward to many more exciting trips to come.
