SENIOR SCHOOL
Visit from HMS Trenchant
On Monday 15th November, MSJ was honoured to have The Commanding Officer of HMS Trenchant, Irvine Lindsay and his Logistics Officer, Lt Matt Rees pay a visit to School. MSJ is affiliated to four ships, of which HMS Trenchant is one. The Officers of the ‘real' Trenchant met ‘Captain' Samantha Petrie, her deputies and the entire crew of the School's Trenchant. The Officers proved to be very entertaining company; revealing details such as ‘hot bedding' and crew members falling asleep in full kit. They also revealed that bad news is kept from crew members whilst they are at sea. The Officers were presented with a photograph of Malvern St James by Samantha, who received a life buoy from HMS Trenchant in return. The girls enjoyed lunch with the Officers and an interesting question and answer session. Both crews of HMS Trenchant look forward to meeting again and continuing the affiliation.
