Excellent Results for Malvern St James Riders

A team of girls from MSJ performed very well at the recent 2 day event held at Offchurchbury by Princethorpe College.
The Open Team consisted of Harriet Gloag, Robyn Annetts, Imogen Gloag and Chloe O'Kane from CLC. At the last minute, Pippa Gloag stepped in to compete as an individual. The MSJ team were leading after the dressage, with Harriet in the lead individually and Robyn only a few marks behind. The show jumping round was very influential, as was the cross country, roads and tracks and steeplechase. When the results came in, MSJ had 5 clear rounds in the cross country and won by over 20 marks from the next team – a fantastic result! The girls also won best team of all 4 scores to count and Harriet won both best dressage and best individual. Pippa also did extremely well in her section, coming second.
At the same event, Anna Robson, Octavia Manning-Cox, Becky Wild and Josie Hobbs represented MSJ in the Novice Section. Despite being relatively new to Eventing, 3 of the team completed, with Anna producing a clear round in the show jumping and both Becky and Anna going clear in the cross country. In the end, the girls came 18th overall, which was a very good effort.
Congratulations to all the girls who took part.
Last weekend, Pippa's success continued when she competed at the Ascott under Wychwood British Event. She finished 1st and 2nd in the BE100 and BE90 and has been contacted by Eventing Magazine, who are keen to interview her.
