Equestrian News

MSJ sent teams and individuals from Years 9 and 10 to the Southam College Show Jumping event at Moreton Morrell last weekend and were rewarded with some wonderful results.
Our first team to compete: Anna Robson on Mr Seamus, Josie Hobbs on Betty Bouncer and Pippa Gloag on Trafalgar Blue and Abbisfields Royal Sovereign did incredibly well. They produced 3 fast clear rounds to finish Team 1st, with Anna placed 2nd individually.
Our next team, comprising the same girls plus Harriet Gloag on Artic Flynn, also put in a great performance and finished in 6th position, with Anna placed first individually.
In the individual event (1.05m – 1.10m), there was even more good news for MSJ girls with Anna Robson placed in first position and Harriet Gloag placed 8th.
Congratulations to everyone who took part on a fantastic set of results!
MSJ girls have also excelled in Eventing recently. Harriet Gloag has achieved runner-up position in the hotly contested Grassroots British Eventing Table for Riders. Her pony, Arctic Flynn was the winner of the BE Grassroots Foundation Points table (which is open to all Grassroots riders throughout the UK) for British Eventing 100 class. Harriet will be presented with her trophy at Badminton this year. Imogen Gloag and her horse Jaffa VI were picked out of 1000 junior riders and horses to represent the Central Region at the 1* Junior Regional Novice finals, where she finished 28th out of 73 competitors.
