Einstein Society Summer Party

The Einstein Summer Party took place last Friday evening at beautiful Batsford House. A delicious party tea was enjoyed by a group of boarders and day girls from Years 7, 8 and 9. After refreshments, the Einsteiners paired off for a variety of thinking games. The first was a scavenger hunt with abstract identities; collecting an assortment of objects which then were used as props for a series of inventive plays. The girls had to justify their choices - ‘something that grows' became one of the girls. The next challenge was to guess which job in ‘What's My Line' with miming and 20 yes/no questions, drawing on skills of lateral thinking and asking precise questions. Hand –brain-eye communication was tested with guess the ‘Playdoh' object and objects hidden in a ‘feelie bag'.

Mrs Martin said, ‘The favourite game of the evening was the ‘blindfold drawing challenge' which tested our competitors' skills of speaking and listening as well as drawing. A very enjoyable evening ended with our year 9 students wishing that the Einstein Society continued into Year 10! Thank you to all the Batsford staff and to the catering department for helping to make this such a special event.'
