Community Action Fair

Community Action held their annual Christmas Fair in the York Hall on Saturday 19 November. The Fair was opened by actor Simon Callow, who judged ‘Seeds for Life’ to be the best dressed stall. Enterprising students from Year 9, Amber Hoyle and Sky Pardoe-Davies, produced a wide variety of home-crafted products on their stall, which offered Christmas cards, hand cream, bubble bath, marmalade, chutney, lavender bags and much more. The girls have supported Community Action for the past year at a number of events and were visited at this fair by Harriet Baldwin MP, who commended their fund-raising efforts. A large number of visitors attended the Fair, which was a great success, and Community Action are hoping to return to MSJ next year to repeat the event.
