SENIOR SCHOOL
Christmas Report from the Head Girl

With the end of term tantalisingly over the horizon, Christmas and all its festivities are fast upon us! This term has made all of us feel a great sense of excitement and achievement. Events such as our Christmas Dinners, Entertainment and Carol Service allow the whole school to come together and have great fun and this is one of the reasons why the end of this term is my personal favourite. This year will be Mrs Woodhouse's first taste of an MSJ Christmas and I am certain that she will enjoy it just as much as everyone else! Over these past thirteen weeks we have all been getting to know Mrs Woodhouse better and our first impressions were absolutely right, we are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful role model and leader.
As usual the achievements of our students have been great in number this term with sporting victories and a magical school production of Shakespeare's ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream' among them. However, I truly believe one of our greatest achievements comes in the form of the academic perseverance of the girls. This term is the longest of the school year and with so much to do it might be possible to become sidetracked from academic work. This does not happen at MSJ, thanks to the diligence of the students and the help and encouragement of our dedicated teachers.
The Christmas holiday will mean a welcome rest for everyone and none deserve it more than my brilliant Prefect Team. I couldn't ask for a better support system and I am so grateful for all their help during my first term of being Head Girl. It is so impressive to see them carry out their duties with such enthusiasm and simultaneously juggle their heavy work load, something that they should all be extremely proud of. My Head Girl duties this term have seen me; give speeches at open days, run the school's Ball Committee and attend many school events. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything and look forward to what is to come next year!
