PREPARATORY DEPARTMENT

The first Young Performers' Platform of the new academic year took place on Friday 7th October. Pupils from both the Prep and Senior Departments took part, showing the progression from early repertoire to the advanced pieces performed by our senior musicians. Pippa Wollen, Year 8, started things off with a lively rendition of one of Hadyn's sonata movements on piano and the programme was concluded with a beautiful vocal duet sung by Zara Edwards and Catherine Okey, both Year 13. The large audience was very appreciative and included the Prep Department supporting their friends who were performing. At the end Mrs Woodhouse commented on how composed all the participants were and how much she had enjoyed their performances.
