Wine Tasting and Scottish Reeling
48 sixth formers got together at School House, Malvern College for a Candlelit Wine Tasting Dinner and Scottish Reeling evening. This is an annual event organised jointly by Jamie Russell, Housemaster of School House, and Rachel Huntley of MSJ.
The tables were decked with tartan, Jamie Russell piped in the Haggis and the fun began. Each table had a mystery wine quiz and had to guess the country, grape and price of the four wines tasted. They then had to make up the most creative description of the pudding wine.
After dinner tables were cleared and the business of Scottish dancing began. Soon people were whirling round the room to The Dashing White Sergeant and the sound of stamping feet filled the room. Everyone had a wonderful evening and are already looking forward to next year!
Annabel Darling said, ‘A massive thank you should go to Mrs Huntley and Mr Russell for organising the wine tasting and reeling at School House. For the second year in a row I felt it was a great success and I know all the girls really enjoyed themselves.'
