PARENTS

Following on from their visit to the London textile event, Yr 11 and Yr 12 art students had the opportunity to work with professional Textile Artist,  Angie Hughes, in a hands-on workshop. She showed them a variety of techniques and materials full of glitz and glamour, which had them all working with great enthusiasm long after she had gone. She brought along a range of work which she has recently exhibited as well as her new book ‘Stitch, Cloth, Paper and Paint’ and talked at length about her influences and use of unusual materials. Angie is a regular visitor to the school and has greatly inspired many students both past and present.
