In the week leading up to Diwali, girls in years R to 3 were able to visit a Hindu Temple in Cheltenham to reinforce their topic work on Hinduism.

All the girls and teachers dressed up in traditional Indian clothing before leaving for the temple, where they were able to observe a morning praise-giving session. The girls enjoyed learning more about Diwali and performing some Indian stick dances. Upon their return to School, girls were treated to a delicious Indian Feast. After lunch, one of the Year 6 Young Enterprise groups, JELIC, painted hands with mehndi patterns, Year R-1 girls made beautiful Diva Lamps and Year 2-3 made their own Indian Dancing Sticks. A fabulous day was had by all!
