Great Start for Malvern St James History Society

The inaugural meeting of the MSJ History Society took place at the end of last term. Part of the aim of this new society is to encourage historians within the school to share their own knowledge with others and stimulate discussion and interest in all things historical. About 30 girls from Years 7-12 crammed into Room 28 to watch videos produced by the Year 10 historians. They had produced documentary films on the Abyssinian Crisis using original film clips, political cartoons and all sorts of visual and auditory effects. The meeting was a great success, provoking lively debate, and Lianna Beesley-Peck, the president, is planning some more exciting subjects for this term.
