Biology Field Trip

This term the Year 13 biologists enjoyed another highly
successful field trip to the beautiful 17th century Nettlecombe
Court, near Taunton in Devon. The weather was kind and Saturday was spent
on Porlock beach gathering data on mollusc size with respect to habitat.
On Sunday, girls collected data on the botany in the extensive
grounds of the Court, searching in the beautiful woodland and meadows.
All the information recorded was then run through statistical tests as part of
the preparation for their A2 examination.
The girls were privileged to have the Head of the Centre as
their tutor on this occasion. He commented
on their delightful behaviour and has already asked when MSJ will rebook!
