We offer full, weekly, and flexible boarding allowing both parents and daughters to choose the option that is right for them.

Boarders live with their friends and each house is specifically geared to the needs of each age group. House staff work with the girls to organise social and weekend activities, creating a happy atmosphere in each boarding house.

Girls are encouraged to make their house feel like home, through personalising their bedrooms, and making the most of the house facilities including kitchens, common rooms, games and music rooms.

Sixth Form boarders are given greater freedom and responsibility, they are encouraged to plan their own time and be more self-sufficient, helping them prepare for the next stage in their education.  

Malvern St James offers both occasional and flexi-boarding to day girls.
 
The opportunity to stay at School between one to three nights per week provides a truly convenient and flexible option for busy family life. Girls have the benefit of learning to live together in a comfortable and happy community and build on the friendships, independence and confidence of their school day.
The choice is designed to give you the greatest degree of flexibility combined with peace of mind.

Whichever alternative you decide, a boarding option will add a whole other dimension to your daughter’s School life at MSJ.

Occasional Boarding

£30 per night for a maximum of 7 nights per term

Girls will have full access to all boarding facilities and enjoy the care of a ‘home from home’. This option is ideal for those evenings when your daughter returns late to School after a trip. Occasional boarding is available on an “as and when” basis, parents contact their daughter’s Housemistress to make the arrangements.

Flexi-Boarding

1, 2 or 3 nights per week

Flexi-boarding can help reduce the daily complexity of journeys and time management for the family, whilst your daughter benefits from all of the advantages of boarding life alongside quality time at home.

To ensure your daughter has her own room and all the facilities a boarding house has to offer we ask parents to make a termly commitment to their flexi-boarding choice. This is an excellent route through which to access modern boarding life at the School.
