OLD GIRLS

The Official opening of Batsford House, the new Junior Boarding House for Years 3 to 8, took place on Friday 22nd October.

The house was thrilled to have Batsford opened by Lady Harrowby, an Old Girl of The Abbey School, and personal friend of the Headmistress, Mrs Patricia Woodhouse. With the Junior Girls lining the driveway, balloons were released as the ribbon was cut, celebrating a milestone occasion for Malvern St James.

Lady Harrowby, with fond memories of her school days, reminded the girls to savour their time at Malvern St James and take every opportunity to enjoy all the fantastic facilities and teaching which the school offers.

Batsford House is currently raising money for garden swings, having reached a third of the way towards their £500 total. As part of their fund raising efforts they also raised £150 for the Guide dogs and were treated to a visit from some of their four-legged recipients!
