ACORNS TRIPLE RUN ' SCHOOLS CHALLENGE

runThe third Acorns Triple Run is being hailed as another ‘Personal Best’ for the West Midlands as over 1300 competitors joined together in the uniquely inclusive event to raise much-needed funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice and other charities.

Malvern St James sponsored the Schools Challenge and entered two teams in the 5k Spring Fun Run, who competed in fancy dress. We also provided a team of enthusiastic helpers who acted as marshalls on the day and handed out medals to all entrants at the end of each race.

The first female home in the Spring Run was Malvern St James pupil Emily Merrick and the first male was Emmett Thompson of Wollaston.

The Malvern St James Schools Challenge was won by Ribston Hall High School, with The Downs Malvern College Prep School in second place and St Mary’s Convent B Team in third place.
Last year our girls raised £5,000 and we are hoping to beat that total this year. Organisers hope that the event will raise £40,000 for Acorns, with a further £10,000 being raised for other charities.
