NATIONAL AND COUNTY SPORTS SUCCESS FOR MALVERN ST JAMES AS NEW £4.5 MILLION FACILITIES CONTINUE ON TIME AND ON BUDGET

MSJ Sport PicMalvern St James, one of the top UK day and boarding schools for girls, has an enviable sports record having won the County Schools Under 16 and under 14 Tennis tournaments last term and have or will be competing in every County Final for Hockey, Netball or Lacrosse this term.

Jane Smallwood, Head of Physical Education at the school said:

‘We offer 21 different sports and the girls enjoy the fact that they do not have to specialise in any one game. We are very proud of all the girls’ for their team and individual achievements. Some of our girls achieve scholarships and many of them go on to pursue sports at the highest level.

We are particularly excited at the moment as our new, £4.5 million sports hall takes shape on campus. It will include a main multi sport area large enough for six Badminton courts, a Fitness suite, Hospitality area and Viewing gallery.
The final scheme for fixtures fittings and colours has been decided this month and the whole project is on time and within budget. It’s hoped that the hall will be in use by the end of this academic year.”
