Printmaking Workshops with Adrienne Craddock
Adrienne Craddock is a specialist fine art printmaker producing unique, limited edition, hand coloured, drypoint and collagragh prints.
Her images conjure fabulous narratives of characters from dreams, myths and fable. She uses her experiences of living in a Northern Pennine landscape and of growing up in rural Herefordshire to inform her striking images of birds and beasts.
Both A Level and GCSE artists were able to benefit from her expertise, as she devoted an extended day to each set of students earlier this month, producing prints in a variety of techniques taken from their own drawings. She began by showing them her own work and explaining her sources of inspiration. There then followed a series of demonstrations, after which students worked enthusiastically to produce a range of prints using both drypoint and collagraph techniques.
It was a very rewarding day in which students and staff learnt new and exciting techniques which can be further explored in class.
