Year 6 Independent Learning Projects
Year 6 worked hard all year on their varied Independent Learning Projects with Dr Jones, Learning Enrichment and Support Co-ordinator. Thursday 25 June was ILP Presentation evening, where they each gave a PowerPoint, speech and display to show family, Mrs Woodhouse and Ms Stentiford what they had learnt.
Projects demonstrated during the evening ranged from Alex Byrne’s chicken water feeder and Lucy Walker’s cake art. Tiggy (Teagan) Manning chose to bring her presentation to life on the night, by providing her horse, Hagen, to model the colourful rug she created. Tiggy had set herself the challenge to learn to use a sewing machine and produce a made-to-measure horse rug. Everyone loved meeting Hagen in the Prep Playground during the interval!
All Year 6 demonstrated how they had learnt to develop ideas, plan time and to persevere, as well as conquer nerves to give informative, personal presentations.
