Farmyard Fun for Pre-Prep Girls
On a gloriously sunny June morning, Pre-Prep set off to the Cotswolds to find out more about farming as a part of their topic work on Living Things. The Cotswold Farm Park is set high on a hill in stunning countryside and is owned by Adam Henson, presenter on BBC’s ‘Countryfile’.
The girls had a fun-packed day of learning, with sessions on chicks and ducklings, how to milk a cow, shearing sheep, different sized eggs and animal identification. They also enjoyed a Tractor Safari and conquered the terrible Puzzle Maze. As if that was not enough excitement, there was still time to play on all of the amazing playground equipment at the park.
The highlight of the day was definitely meeting Adam Henson himself, when he came and took over the ‘Whose Egg?’ talk, which was being run by his daughter. The girls were beautifully behaved – a delight to take out – and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, returning to School at 4.30pm, tired and sunkissed.
