MSJ Delegates Shine at MUN Conference
Mrs Huntley and Mrs Newby took a group of experienced and novice MUNers to the Model United Nations Conference at Magdalen College School at the end of the Spring Term.
The girls were staying in Balliol College, which added another dimension to the experience and meant they could explore Oxford on their way to and from the Conference.
MSJ girls stood out from the rest by asking questions at the beginning of the Conference in front of all the delegates and also at the end in the General Assembly. Throughout the weekend girls were speaking from the front and from the floor in committees to a formidable, mainly Sixth Form audience.
Congratulations to Louise Hayes who was Highly Commended in the Political committee, where topics included nuclear security, Kurdistan and cyber security and also to Saphie Soros-White who was Commended in the Middle East committee for discussing issues such as ISIS, Libya and terrorism.
