The MSJ Variety Show – a review by Lauren Gaisford, Performing Arts Graduate
On Saturday 19 March, the Expressive Arts Department held the annual Variety Show in the York Hall.
The show involved around 85 girls from across the School, including performances which represented three of our boarding houses: Batsford, Mount and Hatfield. The girls worked hard preparing for the show throughout the term and their commitment and dedication was completely apparent.
The evening included many wonderful moments, such as Mount’s chilling rendition of Thriller which prompted Alex Wallace to declare she will never want to be a Housemistress, Charlotte Hayman bringing the house down with a performance about her party dress and Justin Bieber certainly would be jealous after hearing Wami Aluko and Nadia Ahmad Rizian’s cover of his song ‘Love Yourself’. All in all, a spectacular evening!
