Patricia Woodhouse, Headmistress, comments, “We are delighted with these results which are testament to the excellent teaching and enrichment we offer girls at Malvern St James. As well as pushing the girls’ learning forwards, we also look at stretching and challenging them ‘sideways’, to develop, the girls’ independent learning and information literacy skills; this undoubtedly leads to a fuller understanding of their subjects. We are also reaping the rewards of a rigorous Aspiration Programme which encourages girls to aim for some of the most competitive courses at the most sought-after universities in the UK and the world. All of our academic coaching is complemented by excellent pastoral care, helping to reinforce the need for healthy work-life balance. This is never an easy balance to strike, particularly as public examinations loom closer, but we maintain a clear focus on keeping girls grounded and calm. And of course, the biggest applause must go to the girls themselves – their determination and sense of purpose are ultimately the key factors in their success”.

Our Sixth Form is expanding and there are still limited places available for Year 12. You can find out more about the Sixth Form at MSJ by visiting the Sixth Form section of the website. If you would like to register your interest, please contact Admissions or use our enquiry form.
