‘A Christmas Carol’
To complete their studies of Dickens’ writing and the Victorian world of his novels, Year 8 began the New Year with a festive treat: seeing an innovative adaptation of the timeless ‘A Christmas Carol’, performed by the Creative Cow Company.
Directed by Amanda Knott, with Derek Ford as Dickens’ memorable protagonist, Scrooge, the stage version remained faithful to the text and spirit of the original novella. It was much enjoyed by English teachers and girls alike. With music, dance and excellent special effects, the magic of Christmas and Dickens’ universal message was brought alive for us all by a most talented and versatile cast of adults and children.
