SENIOR SCHOOL
Friends of MSJ (PTA)
Friends of Malvern St James (a parents' association) is run by a committee of parents and parent teachers.
As a parent/guardian of a girl at MSJ you are automatically a member of the Friends and we would encourage everyone to get involved. A list of the parents currently on the Committee is shown below.
The Friends of Malvern St James organise social and charity events for pupils, parents, staff and Old Girls. The funds we raise from our events are used to buy extra curricular items to enhance life for our daughters' at MSJ. For example, recently we have provided funds for a karaoke machine for Hatfield House, Baby Belling cookers for Junior House, a chocolate fountain for the Sixth Form Ball as well as our annual donation for the House Christmas parties and strawberries and cream at Sports Day.
The events that we have held include the annual Arts & Crafts Fayre and Quiz Night, as well as running the BBQ at the Bonfire party and the nearly new uniform shop.
If you would like to get involved in any way we'd be delighted to hear from you. Don't worry, that doesn't mean you'll have to attend endless meetings! We need practical help for each event and a couple of hours of your time would be more than enough to make a difference.
So if you'd like to hear more, without any obligation, please contact Fiona Homes by (homesfg@aol.com) at or call 07974 732 026.
The object of The Friends is to:
- Act as a social committee to organise events for pupils, parents, staff, old girls and others associated with Malvern St James
- Engage in charitable activities which support Malvern St James
- Provide and assist in the provision of extra facilities for pupils or the further enhancement of education and recreation at Malvern St James beyond that which should be met by Malvern St James itself
- Act as ambassadors for and promote the School to other parents and help to increase the numbers.
