Malvern St James Sixth Form

Being a Sixth Former at Malvern St James is one of the most exciting times in your school career. Armed with a good set of GCSE results, you can specialise in the areas that you really enjoy. The choice of subjects on offer is wide and creative timetabling allows us to meet individual needs. Small classes, inspirational teaching and tutor support enables you to achieve your full potential.

Our examination record at A Level is outstanding: a 99.5 per cent pass rate and an average of 82.8 per cent A/B grades means that the vast majority of our students go to their first choice universities.

A new careers programme provides excellent guidance for all Sixth Formers, including provision for students interested in Oxbridge or Medicine. All students take part in an exciting Community Service programme which both provides work experience and furthers social awareness.

You also take part in an Enrichment programme of your choice, which introduces new subjects such as Mandarin, the Community Sports Leader Award and Critical Thinking. Our Leiths cookery course also provides a challenge of a different sort! The wide range of extra-curricular activities allows you to learn more about your strengths and capabilities.

Entering the Sixth Form is an exciting step. Against a background of high academic expectations and standards, you will experience more freedom and realise that this brings more responsibility as you move through the Sixth Form. Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, you learn to cross the bridge to responsible young adulthood, ready for the demands of the wider world you will enter after school.
