Imperial War Museum

The English Department organised a trip for all Year 10 girls to the Imperial War Museum in London. The excellent World War I exhibitions provided a stimulating and interesting background to ‘Journey's End', which is currently being studied by three classes, and to Wilfred Owen and his contemporaries, who will be studied by all classes. A ‘flight' on the London Eye, overlooking the immense array of London's historic landmarks, was a perfect end to the day.

Head of English, Mr Morris, said, ‘It was a very successful trip – the archive material is amazing and the girls were very engaged by the way it brings the world wars to life'.
