We recognise that we are all different and that there are others in the world whose lives can change very quickly. Offering our help can be done in a number of ways and volunteering is the first step to showing humility and developing self-effacement.
Whether it is a natural disaster, accident or illness, coming together quickly and a large number we can support and make a difference to others less fortunate. At MSJ we are committed to supporting others by raising funds and promoting a cross section of charities.
The Charities Committee is a team of staff and students who volunteer to help the school raise awareness and funds for different charities each year. We have two Charities Prefects who head up the team with much commitment and enthusiasm. We select our charities by those that have made an impact on someone’s life in our local community.
At the end of each half term we have non-uniform and dress down days. The Charities Committee always lays on fun ways for girls to spend their pocket money for additional fund raising. Girls are encouraged to get involved in our Charities work however big or small.
