Our aim is for each student to become an independent learner. All teaching is designed around the individual's strengths and learning style in order to develop a personalised scheme of work. Teaching staff work in partnership with parents and house-staff to enable each pupil to achieve her very best at school.
We aim to ensure that pupils understand how they learn and encourage them to develop strategies that they can used to overcome their specific learning difficulties. A multi-sensory, cumulative and flexible approach to teaching is employed to achieve this goal.

Pupils from the Preparatory through to the Senior school can benefit from the expert help available from Learning Support by undertaking short courses in, for example, essay writing skills, reading comprehension, speed reading or revision techniques and if appropriate to the pupil’s needs, individual lessons with a qualified SEN teacher.
The Senior SENCO is responsible for organising examination concessions that are applicable.
