A total of 25 classrooms, each seating approximately 25, provide ideal locations for workshops, lessons and seminars.

Each classroom is fully resourced with a range of audio-visual, IT and presentation equipment. Room layout is flexible allowing a variety of seating options to suit your requirements.

Sports Centre

Opened by Sally Gunnell, the state-of-the-art Sports Centre has a range of standard and international specification sports courts and caters for a wide variety of sports and activities including:

Hockey, Lacrosse, Climbing, Badminton, Netball, Football, Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Short tennis, Marshal Arts, Trampolining.

Sport Facilities

Facilities include:

  • flood lit synthetic pitch 
  • 6 hard surface courts 

The facilities can be hired by sports clubs and individuals for regular or one-off booking. 

The sports hall seats approximately 750 and can be carpeted and draped to accommodate a range of large scale events.

Fitness Suite

Our range of equipment from Techno Gym (suppliers to the Olympic Games) focuses on the whole body including cardiovascular training directed by heart rate, Kinesis functional movement, core engaging apparatus and cutting edge flexibility concept machines. This spacious 30 station suite offers stunning views of the Malvern Hills and provides users with entertainment via plasma screens.

Swimming Pool

24 x 8 metres. 1.2m shallow end. 3.5m deep end. A popular and convenient venue for swimming lessons, life guard training, sub aqua and recreational swimming.

Dance Studio 

9.5m x 7.3m

The fully air conditioned, mirrored Dance Studio with sprung floor and surround sound system, provides a light and airy environment.

Juice Bar

(Fully Licensed)

With far reaching views from the balcony and a range of refreshments and snacks on offer, The Juice Bar Café provides a perfect setting to relax after your sporting activity. It is also an ideal venue for small to medium functions of approximately 100.

The Dome

The moated Dome, set in a sheltered, landscaped garden, provides an unusual indoor sports facility. 2 squash courts are located in this building.

Music Centre

Located just 250 yards from the main building, The Music Centre is available to music groups for tuition, rehearsals and recording. 

Pianos, a keyboard and drum kit are available. Please note, groups are required to provide their own hand held instruments.

Music Centre facilities include: 

  • Large rehearsal room with piano 
  • One large and one smaller classroom 
  • 15 individual practice rooms 
  • 26 pianos situated around the centre

Lecture and conference rooms

The versatility of the facilities at Malvern St James makes it the perfect venue for your meeting or conference whatever the size. 

We offer a wide range of comfortable training and conference rooms including Language and IT Suites. Presentation resources include:

A full catering service is available serving a variety of meals from light refreshments to a full lunch menu with hot and cold options. Our delicious and wide ranging menus can be tailored to meet your specific requirements and special dietary needs can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Conveniently situated for local amenities, our proximity to the M5 and M50 motorways and direct rail links to London and the Midlands, make Malvern St. James an ideal central location for your event.

There is parking at the main site for 80 vehicles with an additional 35 spaces at the Sports Centre.

York Hall

Opened in 1934 by HRH The Duchess of York, the York Hall is a magnificent oak panelled room suitable for large events. The flexible layout allows space for a dance floor, band or DJ and is ideal for parties, dances, concerts and conferences from 100 to 500.

The Lawnside Room

The traditional ambiance of Lawnside, formerly the hotel lounge, lends itself to a range of uses including private meetings, dinners, drinks receptions, conferences and product launches for 60 to 150 guests with full screen projection facilities.

The Abbey Room

Once the upper level of the dining room, the original architectural features of this room provide a wealth of character. Spacious yet intimate, with full screen projection facilities and a refreshment area, this room suits lectures, private meetings and conferences for up to 70 delegates.

Drama Suite

A purpose built drama suite with sound system, stage lighting and tiered seating for an audience of up to 150.

Sports Hall

The Sports Hall seats approximately 750 and has an integral PA system. It can be carpeted and draped to accommodate a range of large scale events.

The Library

The impressive oriel windows at either end of the library ensure a light and spacious venue seating up to 100. The library provides an excellent location for workshops and seminars.
