Sixth form girls are encouraged to take on positions of leadership among the population of
girls at MSJ.
Subject mentors are appointed from Years 12 & 13 whose role is to support other girls studying those subjects throughout the school. This benefits the younger girls because they are supported and the sixth form because it encourages them to be confident in their commitment to academic study.
The team of prefects in Year 13, each has responsibility for a specific area, from expressive arts, faith, sports. These girls hold positions of responsibility among their peers and through this they learn the importance of leading by example.
The Head Girl and her two deputies lead the prefect team and in this role are often called upon to be the public face of the school by speaking at events, leading and organising the prefect team.
